Go Mom Go’s latest online discoveries!

I love salad so much that I actually eat mine out of a mixing bowl almost every night. And some nights—when I toss in some tuna, chicken, or hard-boiled egg—my mixing bowl salad is my dinner. Or for a meatless option, this Winter Cobb Salad would definitely make a satisfying meal.

I used to rely on bottled dressing and would rotate through my store-bought favorites. But recently, I’ve been making more and more homemade dressings. I like experimenting with different flavors and combinations, and I especially like knowing that my own concoctions don’t contain preservatives and Maple Poppyseed Dressing from Simple Bites is one of my go-tos.

  • I love the apple cider vinegar–based dressing on this Brussels Sprouts Salad from Gluten Free Girl.
  • On my list to try are this orange juice–infused dressing from Food Confidence and this Cranberry Honey Basil Vinaigrette from Edible Perspective.
  • I’d also love to find a ranch dressing recipe that’s not too heavy but would win over my kids. I like the looks of this Creamy, Herby Ranch Dressing from theKitchn. And this Homemade Ranch Dressing Mix from Heather Likes Food can be made ahead, kept in a jar, and mixed with mayo or yogurt when you need it.
